DG ISPR sees Taliban takeover news as funny

Director General ISPR Maj. Gen. Athar Abbas has termed the speculations of Taliban’s takeover on Islamabad “baseless and funny”. Talking to media on Saturday, military’s chief spokesman said that Pakistan Army is capable and ready to defend the country from any threat and will not let any “militant group” impose its own terms on the masses. Abbas said that more than 1500 personnel of army and Frontier Constabulary sacrificed their lives in performing their duties. He said that the extremists were receiving foreign aid in accomplishing their malicious agenda in the country.
