Sufi Muhammad oblivious to country’s Constitution: Rehman Malik

While talking to host of journalists after addressing the inaugural ceremony under the auspices of National Police Bureau regarding women torture here on Tuesday, Rehman Malik made it clear that TNSM Chief Maulana Sufi Muhammad is unaware of the Constitution and Parliament of the Country.

He was of the view that Nizam-e-Adl Regulations was bracketed with peace in Swat and the government would protect it if peace prevailed in the area.

In the current circumstances, Rehman Malik was hopeful that peace would be restored in Swat.

Rehman Malik said that it is our utmost responsibility to establish writ of the government at every cost.

Replying to a question, he made it clear that if India has any substantial evidence, it must share information with Pakistan.

He said that it is need of hour that both Pakistan and India must fight the menace of terrorism and extremism jointly.

Regarding Suicide attacks; Rehman Malik said that suicide blasts in Islamabad leads back to South Waziristan.

Earlier while addressing simple but dignified ceremony, Rehman Malik said that project regarding establishment of Women Elite Force in FATA is under review.

Regarding Munawah Police, station, he said that investigations are underway.

He said that women play a significant role in our society adding all out efforts will be made to provide optimum facilities to them to curb crime.

"Strict action will be taken against culprits who torture women especially in the name of honor killing", Rehman Malik held.
